A Message from Pastor Sue Ann Salmon

We want to welcome you to our church. Henderson UMC is a warm and welcoming church. We hope that you will enjoy your worship experience here and return to visit with us again soon. We would love to think that if you live in the area you would consider membership.

Henderson has been in existence as a Methodist Church since 1830. During that time Henderson has served as a "beacon of hope" in the community.

You will find that many of Henderson's members are folks who were born and grew up in the area, but we also have many members that have come to this area to live in retirement.

At Henderson, there is always something to do. We have many opportunities to grow spiritually beginning with Worship, Sunday School and Weekly Bible Study. There is also a very active United Methodist Women's group with two circles that meet regularly. The Children's Ministry offers many activities to keep children busy and learning what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We are planning for more activities in the future for all ages.

At Henderson UMC, we have a dedicated group of volunteers that prepare and deliver "Home Meals" three days each week to more than thirty persons, both members and non-members in the surrounding community. Our volunteers provide not only a good nutritious meal, but a short visit to each home where they deliver food.

We believe that God is calling us to minister in the surrounding community and with God's help we know that we can accomplish more that we could ever hope for or imagine.
